Who we are?
Tri-Anagram is a company established in 1982 to provide skills development and training programmes addressing the skills in high demand, entrepreneurship and growth thus contributing towards reducing the unemployment rate in South Africa.
Tri-Anagram has been providing training for over thirty-nine years and Tri-Anagram obtained accreditation with ServicesSETA in 2008. The current assets of the company consist of primary accreditation with the ServicesSETA, extension of scope with the merSETA, CathsSETA, ETDP SETA, MictSETA, QCTO and W&R SETA. Tri-Anagram has the training material, measurement instruments and equipment to complete the practical components for all the accredited full qualifications and skills programmes.
Our Leadership development programmes make use of Simulation-Based Methodology which continues to be used in all training programmes offered. Our leadership development programmes are First Line Management, Top Line Management and Action Leadership.
The company has also branched out into the engineering industry, with extension of scope granted by the MerSETA for full qualifications and skill programmes, incorporating Simulation-Based Methodology. The technical training is offered on a fully equipped manufacturing facility to ensure that the learners do not only get top quality theoretical training but also have access to workplace experience components. Our Nail and Beauty training is offered at a state-of-the-art nail and beauty facility.
All our Facilitators are qualified, and the Assessors and Moderators are registered with the respective SETA’s and are linked to the Tri-Anagram profile.
Tri-Anagram follows the philosophy of continuous career development for all their staff members.

Our Dynamic Team
Director and Shareholder
Having completed BCom, LLB, MBA degrees, she earned a Doctorate in Business Administration in 2013 with her dissertation on “The effectiveness of the Learnership Programmes in the Freight Forwarding Industry”. She has completed various other local and international training programmes and certificates.
Maria has been involved in operations and business development for a major logistics company at an executive and director level for more than forty years, bringing a wealth of business and organisational experience to the company. She has been actively involved in establishing a culture of learning and training in the company she is still working in and has been instrumental in the registration of a training academy within the company. She has also been involved in the learnership programmes since inception into the industry. She has gained invaluable experience into the selection, induction and ongoing support to deliver successful graduates at the end of the programme. She actively participates in skills development, mentoring, enterprise and supplier development initiatives within her organisation and industry through industry bodies and training institutions, including institutions of higher learning. She is a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the Industrial Engineering Faculty of the University of Pretoria.
General Manager
Ria is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the company and has a broad spectrum of financial and general management experience in various industries including aviation (Safair), CibaVision (part of the Novartis Group), food ingredient manufacturing (Tropicube / Afrihub), hospitality and retail outlets (KMIA Airport), and Neofresh (11 farms and 2 packhouses based in Hectorspruit and Low’s Creek). She was also a part-time IMM Lecturer at Wits Technicon, Doornfontein Campus. She is responsible for high-level communication and liaison with the SETA’s, the QCTO and CHE in respect of accreditation related matters, which includes application for new programmes and qualifications in line with the company vision and strategy.
Ria has obtained her MBL (Master of Business Leadership) through UNISA-SBL. Over and above having attended various development programmes associated with the respective industries in which she was involved, she has completed the following skills programmes during the period of involvement with the adult skills development and training space :
• Facilitator / Assessor / Moderator
• RPL Advisor
• Design and Develop Learning Material
She is a registered Assessor with the ETDP SETA and a constituent Assessor for most business and generic management qualifications with the ServicesSETA as well as for the communication related fundamental unit standards with merSETA.
She has been registered as a Practitioner with the Neethling Brain Institute and is therefore qualified to conduct a wide spectrum of profile analyses.
Ria serves on the :

She is the CEO of CIPPT (Chartered Institute of Professional Practitioners and Trainers); a Professional Body registered with SAQA. CIPPT is an independent non-profit company promoting the continuous professional learning and development of OD Practitioners. CIPPT encourages high standards of performance in all aspects of learning and development among members and the training community. The Designations are recognised by SAQA, and subject to the SAQA regulations, policies and procedures.
She has qualified for the Designation of Fellow Occupational Development Practitioner with CIPPT
Senior Consultant
Charles Dey, who is running the day-to-day operations of the company, has a wealth of experience in the skills development and training industry.
Following a 19-year career in freight forwarding operations, in 1994 Charles became the first Executive Director of the Clearing and Forwarding Sector of the Maritime Industry Training Board (later to become incorporated into the Transport SETA).
He led the teams responsible for building and registering the unit standards- based qualification structure for South Africa’s forwarding industry on the National Qualifications Framework.
Charles pioneered the world’s first provider to offer eLearning based training towards the Diploma in International Forwarding offered by the industry world body, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA).
Bidvest Panalpina Logistics (BPL) Academy was started and accredited by Charles. In 2014 he mentored BPL employee Fortunate Mboweni, who became the first Africa born African to win the prestigious FIATA International Young Freight Forwarder of the Year Award.
He was appointed Head of Professional Development: Supply Chain Management at the IMM Graduate School in 2015.
He serves as the Education and Training Development Director on the South African National Council of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and Chairman, Logistics Achiever of the Year Awards Judge’s Committee.
When not thus occupied, Charles may be found in the Johannesburg Zoo where he is a volunteer tour guide.

Training Academy Facilitator – CNC Production Machining
Eddie completed his formal schooling by obtaining his senior certificate in 1976. His father was a hard worker and thus he learnt at an early age to work with various power tools.
After completing his military training, he started with GEC Large machines as an apprentice Tool, Jig and Die maker. After completing approximately three years of on the job training, he obtained his Red Seal from Olifantsfontein. Eddie worked in the toolroom and was offered a position in the Metrology Laboratory. (Calibration of various measuring instruments etc).
He then moved to a company manufacturing flameproof equipment for underground use in the coal mines under strict control of the SABS. He worked himself up to the position of factory manager involved in all functions of the company. We purchased a foundry and cast our own bronze, brass, aluminium, copper and cast iron using diesel and induction furnaces.
Eddie then joined a company in the motor industry as a toolroom foreman and built specialized plants for the company. Dacrotising and wash plants that involved mechanical, pneumatic and electrical installations. This company manufactured stub axles, suspension parts, disk brakes and drum brakes for the various motor manufacturers. He was also responsible for the ES testing on all the new parts.
Eddie joined another company in the motor industry supplying all the power steering and aircon pipes to the manufacturers. Involved in tooling design and customer liaison on new models.
